Pigtails, PJ's, and Hearts
I also have a mini to share :) I made this for my parents for Valentine's day. I will give it to them when they come to babysit the dog and cat. Its has a bunch of my favorite photos that Laurie and Denis have taken. I really love making mini albums and I can't tell you enough how much the kids enjoy looking through them. I hope they always will :)

My Favorite Marmie Making Yet!
My Mom has made a lot of beautiful clothing over the years for the girls and its hard to say what is my favorite. BUT....I really really love this one! She made it for Christmas, but we only got around to taking pictures today :( The jacket and skirt are a coral corduroy (LOVE) and the blouse and lining of the jacket are an AMY BUTLER FABRIC. She even made a matching purse (she put her princess lip gloss in it)! That just sent me over the edge :) How cute is my little career woman :) and YOU KNOW I CAN"T WAIT TO SCRAP THIS PIC!

Scrappies and Crazy Hair
Sunday morning crazy hair via Kasey :) and scrappies :)

I did this LO last fri night at the Scrapbox, while enjoying the rowdy laughter that comes with a bunch of crazy women. It was so good to get out of the house after a week stuck inside with sick kids.
Ryan and I got both poses of Kayleigh from her school pictures because we couldn't agree on what one we liked best. LOL The bottom LO has a pull out tag with journalling about how much Kayleigh is loving school.

Keep warm friends :)

Sketchbook Project: update
Yeah looks like we have a little bit of interest! I will give everyone till Wednesday next week to sign up. Please email me at harkinsk at rogers dot com with your mailing address. Thursday next week I will send out an email to all playing with the mailing order. You will mail your sketchbook out to the person after your name. When you get one in the mail, you will create something in it and pass it on no longer than one week later to the person on the list after you. You will always be mailing to the same person. The size of this project should easily fit in a small bubble mailer, so mailing should be easy peasy.
I have had a couple sneaky friends ask if they can mass produce their art and glue it in...won't name any names....LOL
But I do want to say this. I think much of the magic of this project will come from creating something new in each book...you will be inspired with each book you receive by what you find in it, by what is going on that week, by so many things. The idea of this project is to PLAY...to BE FREE.
So take off your bra, let your hair loose, pass some gas, and lets MAKE FART! Oh I mean ART!
WINK.

Sketchbook Project ?
Has anyone heard of the Sketchbook project? Here's a link to Pam Garrison's. I for one have been having a lot of fun playing and creating in my art journal. I find the free play has really helped me unleash my creative beast :) I love it when people can come to together and share their art, to see their work up close, and learn. Do you girls remember doing circle journals? I loved those.
So here's what I am thinking... would anyone want to participate in a sketchbook circle. We would each purchase a moleskin journal (here's a link from chapters). Its the small 3x5 size...so it will be easy and cheap to mail all around. Think of doing little ATC pieces of art (depending on how many people sign up, we may be able to do more than one spread in each book) Basically we would need a list of people participating, we would purchase our note book, do a title page or whatever you want in it (as far as the art goes do whatever you want I hate rules and art) and mail it off to the next person on the list. You will have a week to do your piece of art and mail it to the next person once you receive a journal in the mail (this will keep things moving along). Once I get a list of people playing I will put together the mailing order and date to have your journal posted. Sign up will be up for about a week. If interested post your name and email in the comments or email me harkinsk at rogers.com.
LETS PLAY!!!!!!!

Menu Planning
I have been making a weekly menu and grocery shopping for that week's menu for quite sometime now. I usually sit with my laptop on Sundays going....MMMMMM...what to make. I really need to come up with a better system. Ryan and I have been saying for ever that we need to make a master list of dishes I have made and that we love. Right now I browse through some of my favorite food sites for inspiration and build from there. I have heard of some people making each day of the week a theme and then picking from there. For example Monday's are soup or chili, Tuesday pasta, Wednesday chicken etc... I think that might be a good idea to try. So for now I will share my fav sites to go looking for ideas and this weeks menu. Please share your ideas and tips in the comments as I would LOVE SOME HELP :) LOL
