Cosmo Cherries and a basket of flowers

I am in love with the Early Bird collection and when I saw the sweet cherries I though I just have to make something fun with these.

I used a plastic berry basket (I have had it stored away for something for sooo long cause its so darn cute) and scraps of the Early Bird Collection to create this. I used masking tape to grid of the top so the flowers sat nicely. A small bowl of water fit easily inside.

Of course you could use this basket for many things:)

Twinkle Twinkle

Playing along agin with this weeks Blueprint at Bad Girls :)


This LO is made on grunge paper by Tim Holtz, I layed down star chipboard and some paper lace as masks and glimmer misted the heck out of it....while the glimmer mist was pooled up I sprinkled some glitter on the LO. I also used a metallic paint pen and let it pool up metallic ink in silver in the bog pools of glimmer mist. I let the LO dry overnight and then added some other little sparkles today :)

Bad Girls Blue Print

The girls at the Bad Girls Website have underdone a major makeover and have a great new weekly inspiration called BLUE PRINTS. Its a combination of inspiration "palette" pictures and a sketch. I was really taken by this Blue Print and decided to play along.

For my LO I created a collage of blue papers and then punched circles from the collage. I then used an embossing pen and black embossing powder to emboss squares around the circles. I layered more blue papers on the outside frame of the LO and again used embossing powder in a random way. I applied gesso randomly to the background with my finger for a subtle texture.

Have you seen Cosmo Cricket? Have you seen their super cute whimsical papers and embellies. The colorful patterns, the cute toasters, cherries, and shoes? I truly heart playing with their lines and not just because I hope they pick me to be on their new design team. So blog world help Kataroo out and post a comment on which line or paper you like best and why you think I would make a great DT member :) SHHHHHH keep the gaseous part a secret would you....for now at least:)

A Happy Father's Day Here

We had a great father's day here! I made breaky for Ryan. We had a family nap. The girls and I went grocery hopping for stuff for his big FD Dinner. Ryan played his electric guitar while we shopped and cooked. Kayleigh and I made a cookies and cream cake from scratch. We made the cookies and the cream, and she even assembled the cake all by herself....isn't it beautiful :) For dinner we had Mediterranean Orzo Pasta Salad with Prosciutto, Corn on the Cob, Salmon Tornado's stuffed with shrimp, crap and kale. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM except for the fish part. For dessert we all painted our noses and smiled for the camera :) Kayleigh said Kasey looked like Santa :)

Sweet and Salty

I have been itching to get my hands on some EARLY BIRD from COSMO CRICKET and guess what I found the kit at my fav store A FINE MESS!!! I got the last one! Phew :) Oh crap, now Ryan will know I bought some scrap stuff....oh well he did just come with an electric guitar and amp (very hot).

I can't stop

I just can't stop scrapping....I have scrapped ever day this week...I did 2 other LO's last night but I'm not posting them b/c I don't like them (hahaha). This is one from the night before, once again drawn to the more simple.

and you know what I can't wait to scrap tonight too:)lol

3:00 Am Scraplift inspiration

A couple nights ago I found myself awake at 3:00 am, thinking....of scrap booking of course! My thoughts wondered to a LO that Nathalie posted and I was eager to find time to try my hand at her design. Thank-you Nathalie for the inspiration I loved playing with your design :)

I love the large fancy circle off the page, the circle within, the photo to the side, and the use of circles above and below and the border. You can see why this design really stuck with me!

Scrappies from Norland

Under Stechie's direction I lugged my scrap stuff with me to my parents last week. I always want to scrap while there but hate having to lug my scrap crap there (he he scrap crap). Well I am really glad I did because it was super relaxing to do some pages in the evenings while watching movies with my Marmie :) (PS. she cries a lot in movies) Then there is the night I rented a movie and was so excited to watch and stay up late scraping because the following morning was my sleep in day. Well I was pretty bagged from all the fresh air and kiddie playing, so I curled up on the couch while Ryan put the kids to bed for a wee nap. I woke up at 10:45 PM!!! then went to bed. Some night :) LOL
