Makeover

Its renovation time here at Kataroo's Kitchen, thanks to yet another fabo Scrapinstyletv class, featuring Wilna and Kayla.



So far I have used a 3 column template, added a new background, a custom font, and a soon to be aligned banner. I can't wait to dress up my side bars and some FLAIR. Oooh this is so much fun :)

Our family 2009. Laurie and Dennis Turpin honored us with including our family as models to build their photography portfolio. The girls both had colds and little sleep on the day of the shoot. You never would have known though except for the runny noses. Laurie and Dennis were amazing with the girls, making everyone feel relaxed, and could read when they needed a break. I loved that they were organized with a shoot list, and so many creative ideas. It made the day easy and fun. The girls had fun and so did Ryan and I. It felt magical, I felt proud and even a little romantic...maybe it was all the kissing for the shots. I knew the pictures would be amazing but I had no idea how they would make me fall in love with my husband all over again, seeing his love for us, for our girls reflected in his face. These photos are an amazing gift, capturing every wrinkle, dimple and expression of my heart. I truly can not find the words to thank-you Laurie and Dennis for this gift. We will treasure them always.

Scrapping Crazy

Finally after weeks of ZERO creative energy I have scrapped. It may have been being at navcan with my best friends, it could have been the booze, or maybe it was the break from the wife and kids :) LOL.

A proud first

Today Kayleigh and I made HOMEMADE pizza dough together. She is really good at cooking and baking with me now (some may even argue that she is better than I). I enjoy sharing these moments with her, and tonight in particular I was ridiculously happy and proud of our pizza. I just had to get Ryan to take a pic of us decked out in our APRONS. The recipe is here and I highly recommend it :)

When Kay and I cook/bake she very eagerly drags a kitchen chair over to the counter, I think she must have had a great day this past Friday. As she got to drag that chair over 3 times! One to make homemade bubble solution, secondly to make home made play dough, and lastly to help me make a a pesto. So you think Martha would be proud? LOL

Date night :)

Ryan and I are going on a date :) Indian food at a highly recommended restraunt. Spicy curry, mango chutney, wine and NAAN (mmmm). Afterwards, a movie and some BABY MAKING???? LOL

Awesome Long Weekend

I had the BEST long weekend. We headed to my parents house in Norland Thursday and spend the weekend with my both my sisters, my parents and nieces. We celebrated Kasey's 1st Birthday, Hunted for Easter Eggs, played outside in the sun, drank wobbly pops, ate the most delicious meals (thank-you Mom, Dad, and Mike), and hung out all together laughing, and laughing and enjoying one another. Sunday we drove to TO to see my SIL Shannon, Aunt Deb and our nephews. We again were spoiled with delicious food, laughter, wine (Paul's Dad makes a lovely high octane one LOL) and new memories.

It was a blessing of a weekend to see all our family, for everyone to get along, and to just ENJOY each other. It rocked!!!
