Body Art Journal Class

I'm teaching my first class at A Fine Mess in a couple weeks. I am so excited I have had this idea to bring a group of women together to celebrate our bodies while scrapping for sometime now. Thank-you Genna for allowing me to do this. So here are the details :) Hope you can join us :)

Description:

The goal of this class is to have a group of women come together to create beautiful art while celebrating their unique bodies, bumps and sags; to laugh and feel comfortable in our their own skin.

In this 6 week course you will create an art journal that will celebrate your body, and begin to tell the tale of your journey to self love. You will build and construct an art journal and fill it with colorful paint, pen doodles, image transfers, and personal journaling. Each class will also have a group discussion on a topic related to body image and self esteem. You will go home after each class with a journal prompt for homework.

• Photo copies of images related to body image
• Black Sharpie marker
• Fine tip brush for detailed painting
• Any scrap patterned papers you may want to add or additional embellishments
• Glue Stick
• Acrylic Medium
• Gesso
• Acrylic Paint
