LO's from Navcan

I spent the weekend with some of my very good friends at Navcan, for a weekend of fun scrapping. I did 9 LO's one more than the last time. Here are 8 of them, the 9th Rachel has as it was a LO of her DD.

My fav LO is the one of the house. I painted the background myself with watercolors, and then created the house of chipboard, with tim holtz distress paint. Rachel had the finishing touch, with the white picket fence.

My other fav is the one called US, with Kayliegh and daddy at the water park, I like how the elements go off the page.

The conference room next to us was full of CM scrappers and it was really neat to hear their comments on our LO's. They were shocked by the ARTSY nature of the LO's the detail and techniques and the time taken to do one LO. They asked if it bothered us if we didn't get 40 lo's done in a weekend LOL.!! It was pretty hilarious :)

For my Marmie

This is an mini album I made for my Mom. Its a library card album kit that I have had laying around forever. The pockets have picture tags in them. One cool thing to note, on the cover I used a doily as a stencil and used black paint applied very thickly. Once peeled and left to dry it left a lovely raised lace pattern on the cover. I hope to put this in the mail this week.

I loved making this album. The box is from a box of cosmo cricket chipboard letters that I had bought. I sanded the box, then applied a layer of black acrylic paint. I then sanded it for a distressed look revealing some of the colors of the original box. I also podged some spider web tissue paper on the top cover and distressed with some ink. The album is 6x6 sheets of cardstock attached accordion style with ribbon. Lots of purple stitching through out the album.

Saunders Farm

We took Kayleigh to Saunders farm today and it was a blast. I think Ryan and I had even more fun then Kayleigh :) The hayride was wicked, that guy drove like a crazy man!! The haunted barn was really scary. The staff was really in character. All in all a great afternoon.
