Thank-you God

This past Friday night my sister Krissy went to bed and had this feeling that something was going to happen to her family, so she prayed to God and asked him to keep her family safe over the holidays. Her hubby is an OPP and that night she got a call at 3:30am, while an officer waited outside her door. Mike was ok, but had been in a bad accident. They took her to the hospital right away to see him and on the way learned the details. It was a miracle that he was alive. He had just finished saving someone's life, talking them off a bridge when he got a call from a farmer saying his horses got out and were on the highway. As he was going up a hill on the way to the call he hit the horses as they ran out toward his car. He hit both of them, killed them both, and his car was thrown over the barrier and hung over a cliff. There was little left to his car. They were pulling horse hair from his wounds and mouth. He broke his neck, but only a fracture on C3, he is not paralyzed and I think will only need a neck and shoulder brace. He needs oral surgery as his teeth have all been moved, his nose is broken, and he has deep lacerations all over his face. He is ok, he will be ok. Thank you GOD, for watching over him, please help him recover well. Amen.

Oh no, that's an awful story. Two things come to mind... thank GOD he was not hurt more seriously... and a HUGE prayer of gratitude for all the police officers who put their lives at risk every single day to make our world a safer and better place.

Thoughts and prayers go out to your BIL, your sister and her family. Hugs to you, Katie.
